Journaling can be a great way to get to know more about yourself and your emotions! Whenever I’m feeling kind of distraught, or just not my best, just writing aimlessly until it finds a train of though always helps me feel put together. Writing about anything at all can be a great form of meditation!
Exercise is a great way to quiet the mind and gain mental strength and confidence. Working physical activity into your daily routine helps to feel more fulfilled and healthy with your days. Whether it’s just a walk or a bike ride, physical activity helps to get in touch with the body and simply to feel better!
Meditation is a great way to become grounded in the present. It doesn't have to be this uncomfortable attempt to stop your thoughts and sit in silence, but rather, it is allowing those thoughts to flow by, and instead of resisting them or letting them feed any emotion, you can simply watch them go by, and in this way, you can simply step out of your mind for a little while. Tons of great meditations can be found on youtube, but even just sitting with your thoughts for five minutes and following your breath can be meditative! Try it out!
